As a company we use recyclable and biodegradable materials wherever possible. Please see a list below of the materials we use:
Cardboard/Corrugated
All our cardboard and corrugated products are 100% recyclable and biodegradable. Flatten and cut up the boxes to save some space and dispose of in the cardboard bags/bins provided.
Solid Board Boxes
Our collection of solid board boxes are completely biodegradable and recyclable. To ensure you do the best for the environment, remove the filmed windows and place these in the plastic recycling, and place in the cardboard bags/bins supplied.
Film Windows
All our boxes with the filmed windows are made of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) material which are 100% recyclable. The windows need to be separated from the boxes, then they can be discarded in the plastic waste.
Paper
Our suppliers use paper sourced from sustainable forests or from recycled paper. All our paper products can be disposed of in the paper bags/bins provided by the council.
Polythene
Our suppliers use 100% Clear Virgin or recycled sacks. These bags can all go in the recycling.
Cake Boards and Drums
Our Polycoated boards are 100% recyclable and are one of our most popular products. Unfortunately, the remaining Cake Boards and Drums use a material of which is not recyclable. The Polycoated boards can be discarded in the cardboard bags/bins provided.
Foils
The foils we supply are 100% recyclable. Please dispose of these products in the bins/boxes, along with cans and glasses.
Plastics
All our plastics, i.e., Cupcake Pods, Cake Domes, Cake Jars and Tasting Glasses etc are fully recyclable and can be disposed on in the plastic waste.
Bagasse Boxes
All our Bagasse material goods are 100% compostable and biodegradable.
Recycling
Cake Boxes Direct Ltd are aware of the environment and recycle our waste materials in the correct manner. We use an outside company to dispose of our cardboard and solid board goods on site. The packaging we use to ship our goods to you are recyclable. This includes the cardboard box it arrives in and the recycled paper, if necessary, inside.
We also write to inform you that our suppliers take responsibility for recycling their waste efficiently.
